PRIVACY POLICY
For purposes of this Privacy Policy, the terms "we," "us," "our" and "ScandiCard" refer to Scandi Card Solutions A/S and all affiliates of the company. "you" and "your" refers to you, as a user of the ScandiCard Program. The Privacy Policy below governs you and the Information you provide on this site. Which ever card you decide to purchase, your card will be governed by the Privacy Policy of the issuing bank.

A. Overview
In order to operate the Scandi Card Card service and to reduce the risk of fraud, we must ask you to provide information about yourself. Scandi Card takes the privacy of your personal information very seriously and will use your information only in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. We will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information or any other nonpublic personal information to third parties except as set forth in Part D below. As described in more detail in Part D below, there are limited circumstances in which some of your personally identifiable information will be shared with third parties, under strict restrictions, so it is important for you to review this Privacy Policy. By using the Scandi Card service, you expressly consent to our collection and use and disclosure of your personal information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.
Please note that your personally identifiable information will be stored and processed on our computers in Canada and Seychelles. The laws on holding personal data in Canada and Seychlles may be less stringent than the laws of your country but Scandi Card will hold and transmit your personally identifiable information in a safe, confidential and secure environment. If you object to your personally identifiable information being transferred or used as described in this Privacy Policy, please do not register for a Scandi Card.
This Policy may be revised over time as new features are added to the Scandi Card service or as we incorporate suggestions from our account holders. Any material changes will be effective immediately. If you no long have a valid Scandi Card , you will not be contacted to notify you of the amended Policy and your personally identifiable information will not be used or disclosed in this new manner. The amended Privacy Policy will always be posted on our website. Please check the www.scandicard.com at any time for the most current version of our Privacy Policy.
The Scandi Card website may include links to third party websites. These sites are governed by their own privacy statements and policies, and Scandi Card is not responsible for their operations, including but not limited to their information practices. Users submitting information to or through these third party websites should review the privacy statement and policy of these sites before providing them with personally identifiable information.
B. What information of yours we collect
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you through online applications or other online forms used to set up a Scandi Card, such as your name, address, phone number, e-mail address.
- Information we receive about you from third parties. In order to protect all our card holders against potential fraud, we verify with third parties the information you provide. In the course of such verification, we receive personally information about you from such services.
C. How your information is used
We use the personally identifiable financial information we collect about you in order:
- If you are a registered Scandi Card holder, your member ID, name, e-mail address, date of sign-up, and whether you have verified you ID information. However, your credit card number, bank account and other financial information will never be revealed to anyone, except if we are required to do so pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process.
- The Internet address (IP address) of the computer or device you use to access your Scandi Card account, the type of browser you use and the times you access our website, are used in order to help detect possible instances of unauthorized transactions and to better understand our account holders' preferences better and to manage the load on our servers. We also use IP address information to analyze trends, administer the site, improve site performance and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. We retain correspondence records in order to measure and improve our member service, and to investigate potential fraud and violations of our User Agreement. We may, over time, delete these records if permitted by law.
Our use of cookies allow us to recognize you if you visit multiple pages in our site during the same session, so that you don't need to re-enter your password multiple times. Once you log out or close your browser, session cookies expire and no longer have any effect. In addition, we use cookies to process our referral program. Our cookie files are encoded so that your e-mail address and other information can only be interpreted by Scandi Card.
We also use your e-mail address to send you other types of communications that you can control, including Scandi Card updates and member surveys. You can choose whether to receive some, all or none of these communications.
We disclose information that we in good faith believe is appropriate to cooperate in investigations of fraud or other illegal activity, or to conduct investigations of violations of our User Agreement. Specifically, this means that if we conduct a fraud investigation and conclude that one side has engaged in deceptive practices, we can give that person or entity's contact information (but not bank account or credit card information) to victims who request it. We disclose information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, levy, attachment, order of a court-appointed receiver or other comparable legal process, including subpoenas from private parties in a civil action. We disclose information to your agent or legal representative (such as the holder of a power of attorney that you grant, or a guardian appointed for you). We share aggregated statistical data with our business partners or for public relations. However, this aggregated information is not tied to personally identifiable information.
D. With whom your information may be shared
We share your information with subsidiaries and affiliates to help coordinate the services we provide to you, enforce our terms and conditions, and promote trust and safety.
We may disclose the information we collect to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf or to other financial institutions with whom we have joint marketing agreements to determine members' eligibility for the debit card, and to better match the products we offer to our members' needs. These companies are subject to confidentiality agreements with us and other legal restrictions that prohibit using the information except to market the specified Scandi Card-related products or services, unless you have affirmatively agreed or given your prior permission for other uses. We may also share cookie information regarding whether or not a certain user is already registered with Scandi Card with certain merchants with whom we have an official co-marketing relationship. We may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties as permitted by law.
E. Your choices regarding the collection, use and distribution of your information
If you prefer that we not disclose nonpublic personal information about you to nonaffiliated third parties, you may opt out of those disclosures, that is, you may direct us not to make those disclosures (other than disclosures permitted by law).
F. Security procedures
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Your bank account information are stored only in encrypted form on computers. We test our security systems regularly and also contract with outside companies to audit our security systems and processes.
Children
Children are eligible to use our service with the express permission of a parent or guardian.
Compliance
With respect to our privacy practices and our compliance with this Privacy Policy, Scandi Card Solutions A/S is regulated by laws of Seychelles.
